The Digital Developer reflects and actively supports the University of Denver?s vision, values, mission and brand strategy as well as the strategic goals of the Division of Marketing & Communications. Creates and develops working digital assets for division projects while working closely with a multidisciplinary of web technology and creative teams. The developer primarily provides management, scripting, and digital development support for various digital projects within the Marketing & Communications office. Provides experience in developing web sites and applications following a standard development lifecycle. This
Individual works in a minor role with developers and teams across the organization to determine and build optimal methods for delivering functionality. Assists in the research and evaluation of emergent digital technologies.
Specific Duties
- The developer primarily provides management, scripting, and digital development support for various digital projects within the Marketing & Communications office.
- Interact with crossfunctional affiliated teams to codevelop, iteratively test, and comment/document code in support of project requirements and user interface designs.
- Work with developers and teams across the organization to determine and build optimal methods for delivering web functionality.
- Research and evaluate emerging digital technologies

- Solid competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated career success
- Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of web development experience.
- Experience with mobile frameworks.
- ?Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, subordinates, and senior leaders in achieving objectives
- Proficiency with HTML, XHTM, HTML5 (preferred), CSS3 and experience in scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems and experience with XSL/XSLT and XML a plus.
